Benedict Cumberbatch is Eeeevil!!!

And he looks rather startling with a shock of black hair!  Paramount released today an announcement or teaser for the movie Star Trek Into Darkness, the sequel to JJ Abrams’ successful and ridiculously entertaining reboot Star Trek.  In this go around, Benedict Cumberbatch is the big bad!  It’s rumored that he is portraying Khan…..or as Shatner says it 

The teaser is below, and the movie looks pretty kick ass!  Except for that moment at 40 seconds in where Alice Eve just suddenly screams.  That looks….yeah odd. Anyway, the announcement is a lead in to the real gift from Paramount.  Nine minutes of the movie….yes….NINE….will be shown before the IMAX showings of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey when it’s released on December 14th.  It’s a smart marketing strategy to get butts in the seats at IMAX theatres for The Hobbit.  IMAX tickets equal a bigger box office.  Still……nine minutes?!  That’s just crazy.  But don’t think I won’t be at the IMAX theatre the weekend of the 14th checking out the movie and Star Trek sneak peek!  I am nothing if not a big ol’ movie whore!
